A PAINTING A DAY

A PAINTING A DAY arose out of the observation that human creativity can take the path of least resistance at times. And given the choice between painting and not painting, the later often wins. A PAINTING A DAY is the pursuit of "trying" to create a piece of art every day. These are done usually with thick paint and a pallet knife....if one every interests you, shoot me an email at matt@hirsheimer.com and I will be glad to ship it to you for $100 ($150 framed), no questions asked.
After a trip to Las Vegas after the movie release of Hangover, you just can not see that town in the same light ever again. It's an insane town where the Hangover story line is lived out nightly by thousands of tourist - 24/7/365. It inspired me to paint the one character that had no speaking part, but was easily the best supporting actor ...Carlos. He was the one sane character in the movie who was juxtaposed against the antics of the city and it's party life style that inspired the movie.
I cannot believe that no scenes in the movie were shot in the Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall. An institute that has fostered many-a-hangover, I am sure.

Yes you could argue that the tiger and the chicken had no speaking part, too.

So, after many months hiatus, it is time to add some paintings a day. The Boston Beanery is a favorite location of a Friend of mine who just got married in Morgantown WV. The wedding party stopped by this location on their way to the wedding reception. Thought this would make a nice little wall hanging for them to hang in their newlywed palace.
I am told that this is THE PLACE for BBQ chicken wings and that they are addictive. The newly weds now live very, very far from Morgantown and may have to check into a wing-rehab clinic unless the Beanery starts bottling their sauce.

A friend of mine has season seats for the New York Giants. He and his family have gone to many games over the years and next year they will go in the new stadium. This Art/Photo/Ticket will stand as a memory of all the great times they had in the old stadium.
